Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of EventForge at eventforge.ca. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by them.
1. The service
EventForge is a directory of student competitions, hackathons, and related events in Canada. We review submissions before publication but do not organise, sponsor, or take responsibility for listed events. Event details including dates, deadlines, and venue are provided by organizers and may change without notice.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@eventforge.ca.
3. Event submissions
By submitting an event, you confirm that you have the right to do so, that the information is accurate, and that the event complies with applicable laws. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion.
Submitting an event grants us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute the listing content on the service.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent event listings
- Scrape, harvest, or collect user data from the service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system
- Interfere with the availability or performance of the service
- Access the service through automated means at a rate that burdens our infrastructure
5. Intellectual property
The EventForge name, logo, and original content are our property and may not be used without written permission. User-submitted event content remains the property of its submitters.
6. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, complete, or current. We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your reliance on information found on the service.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventForge and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for a violation of these terms or at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that province.
10. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
