EventForge operates eventforge.ca. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your options regarding your data.
Information we collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. A display name is optional.
Usage data. We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and request timestamps. These logs are used to operate the service and detect abuse, and are retained for 30 days.
Event submissions. Submitted event content is stored along with your account ID and the submission timestamp.
Bookmarks and applications. We store events you bookmark and any application statuses you record so your dashboard reflects your activity.
How we use your information
- To operate and maintain your account
- To review and publish event submissions
- To send transactional emails such as account verification and password resets
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are removed from our active database within 90 days. Aggregate analytics data and server logs may be retained longer for operational purposes.
Third-party services
We use the following providers to operate the service:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Upstash — rate limiting
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics
Each provider maintains its own privacy policy and data processing terms.
Your rights
You can view, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. For data export requests or privacy inquiries, contact us at privacy@eventforge.ca. We respond within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
